2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vs 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Serving Fairfax, VA

Throughout its long history as a premium crossover in the Jeep lineup, the Grand Cherokee has been a midsize crossover SUV with two rows and large cargo space. In 2021, Jeep introduces the Grand Cherokee L to its lineup as a new model. The Grand Cherokee L is a three-row version of the Grand Cherokee, and there are a few other differences that you need to get familiar with before you pick out your next Jeep from our inventory.

Both the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L are engineered to live up to your high expectations. They are both trail-rated vehicles that are available with a variety of included or optional mechanical features. Some of these are a Quadra-Lift suspension system, Selec-Terrain for traction management, and exceptional ground clearance. They are also both available with a V8 engine that can tow up to 7,200 pounds.

While the 2021 Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L are related with comparable design language, the Grand Cherokee L has bolder dimensions with a more squared-off look from front to rear. The Grand Cherokee has a curved nose that angles downward slightly. The wraparound grille has a series of rectangles, and it is integrated with LED-outlined headlights. The door panels have two well-designed personality lines that run almost horizontally down the sides. The Grand Cherokee L, on the other hand, has a flatter nose. The grille has a similar design, but it is shorter. This leaves room for a large air vent below the grille. Both the headlights and the fog lamps have a rectangular shape, and the headlights are capped by an LED bar.

Across the various trim levels, the 2021 Grand Cherokee has equipment like leather material, a dual-pane moonroof, a premium Alpine or Harman Kardon sound system, leather material, heat, and memory functions for the front row, smart device integration, and more. The Grand Cherokee L has room for six or seven passengers. It adds open-pore wood accents, multiple colors for the ambient lighting, massaging front seats, and a UConnect five system with a 10.1-inch display screen.
