What's New for the 2021 Jeep Compass?

The Jeep Compass is unique in many ways, which adds to its appeal and makes it stand out from the crowd. One of the main highlights of the Jeep Compass is the fact that it fills a niche void in size among other vehicles in the auto market. The Compass is larger than an extra-small SUV, but it is still smaller and more compact than the average small SUV. The Compass packs plenty of space for its size, and it also sets itself apart for the many technology features that it offers. In 2021, the Compass gets even more tech-savvy than before, including more standard safety aids on two trim levels, which are the Limited and Trailhawk. In case you want more styling options, you can also now outfit your Jeep with an 80th Anniversary special edition package. Above-average off-road capabilities are another premium feature for the Jeep Compass across the board.

The Jeep Compass is available in four trims for 2021. First in the lineup is the Sport. The Sport's standard amenities include steel wheels and signature Jeep characteristics, including classic rounded headlights. The Sport's interior seats five. You'll get USB ports in both rows, a seven-inch touchscreen display, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included with every Compass trim level. The Latitude adds to that list with roof rails and alloy wheels. Fog lights are added at this trim level as well. Interior updates include a leather-covered steering wheel and keyless entry. Satellite radio is also included. With the Limited comes more luxury amenities, including heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Limited also upgrades its upholstery to leather, and it has a touchscreen with a larger 8.4-inch color display. Special off-road tires, tow hooks, and underbody skid plates come with the Trailhawk.

For power, the Jeep Compass has one engine that powers all four trims. The Jeep's engine is a four-cylinder with a 2.4L capacity. Its power reaches 180 HP, and it creates up to 175 LB-FT of torque. The Jeep's standard drivetrain is front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is optional. The exception is the Trailhawk, which automatically gets all-wheel drive. You'll get a nine-speed transmission with the all-wheel drive versions of the Compass, while the front-wheel drive models have a six-speed automatic transmission instead.
