For the 2025 model year, the RAM 1500 breaks ground in the electrified arena with the debut of the RAM 1500 Ramcharger. This is a full-size truck with a plug-in hybrid engine that is closely related to the gas-powered RAM 1500 truck and the all-electric RAM 1500 REV.
Under the hood, the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger boasts a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 gas engine as well as a rechargeable battery. The battery is recharged through the gas engine's operation and a plug-in function. With the power of this battery, the Ramcharger can go 145 miles entirely on electric power before dipping into the gas tank. It comes with special drive modes for Eco, Electric+, and E-Save. This rugged truck has special tow, Sport, Snow, and offroad modes. The Ramcharger has 663 combined horsepower and can tow up to 14,000 pounds.
The RAM 1500 Ramcharger has the dominant stance that other RAM trucks are known for, with a tall nose, sculpted sides, and a wide, powerfully accented hood. The innovative wheel design shows off cropped spokes. At the front, the wide grille has rounded sides and horizontal accent bars. The double bars that hold the RAM logo trend directly into the double-barred LED headlights.
While the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger is a beast on the road, it also has the premium features you need to feel comfortable over the miles. The modern dashboard design is styled with a digital gauge cluster and a touch display screen between 12 and 14.5 inches. In front of the passenger, an additional 10.3-inch touch display screen offers entertainment functions. Additional features are the UConnect 5 infotainment system, wireless Android Auto with Apple Carplay, a head-up display, a camera rearview mirror, hands-free highway driving, two wireless charging pads, heated seats, a sunroof, and other notable features.
