 What's New for the 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

When Jeep launched the Gladiator in 2019, it made waves as the first truck produced by the brand in years. In 2023, this midsize truck continues to be part of the model's first generation but offers several improvements over its predecessor. Specifically, a Freedom Edition is now available with exceptional style and performance enhancements. The High Altitude trim also now has a few additional off-road options.

The Gladiator is closely designed after the iconic Jeep Wrangler SUV. Like the Wrangler, it has a boxy shape with flat sides, extensive body molding, round headlights, and a tall grille with vertical bars. It also has removable sides, a removable roof, a fold-down windshield, and a 5-foot truck bed.

All trims have a standard V6, 3.6-liter engine that produces 285 horsepower. They also come with four-wheel drive and your choice of an eight-speed auto or six-speed manual transmission. Most trims are also available with the option for a V6 turbo-diesel that produces 260 horsepower. This engine is connected to an automatic eight-speed transmission. Some trims are also outfitted with all-terrain tires, an enhanced rear axle ratio, locking differentials at the front and rear, rock rails, skid plates, Fox shock absorbers, a disconnecting stabilizer bar, and a two-speed transfer case.

The available and optional cabin and safety features for the 2023 Gladiator are designed to promote functionality and comfort on and off the road. The base trim gives you an eight-speaker audio system, cruise control, a push-button ignition, a 7-inch touch display screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Some or all of the higher Gladiator trim levels give you rear privacy glass, an Alpine sound system with more speakers, keyless entry, a larger touch display screen, a navigation system, USB ports, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a two-zone climate control system, heated front seats, a front-facing camera, forward collision mitigation, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery and more.
