 What's New for the 2023 Jeep Wrangler?
The Jeep Wrangler is rightfully known for its utility as a rugged, off-road-ready vehicle. In addition, today's Wrangler is outfitted with the many modern features that today's drivers need for comfort and safety on the road. While the Wrangler received several updates in the 2022 model year, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler is unchanged.
The Wrangler continues to be available in two trims: the Sport and the Rubicon. There are also numerous sub-trims available for the Wrangler Sport. The five powertrains offered with the 2022 Wrangler continue to be available. A base-level 3.6-liter V6 engine produces 285 horsepower, and it comes with the option of an eight-speed auto or six-speed manual transmission. Two other gas engines are available, and these include a 270-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder unit, and a 392-horsepower, V8, 6.4-liter option. A turbo-diesel 3.0-liter system offers 260 horsepower, and a PHEV generates 375 combined horsepower. Select trims come with an Off-Road Plus driving mode, Fox shock absorbers, high-performance brakes, low-range gearing, and other mechanical upgrades.
You can choose between two-door and four-door versions of the Wrangler. This SUV continues to have a boxy shape, bar-style grille, and rounded headlights for which it is widely recognized. Across all trims, the 2023 Wrangler is equipped with exterior features like skid plates, tow hooks, and foglights. Higher trims may add all-terrain tires, rock rails, a suspension lift, and a one-touch power roof.
The interior of the 2023 Jeep Wrangler has a capable, modern look with a tall dashboard and comfortable seats. The base trim this year comes with a 7-inch touch display screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. As you walk up the trim line, the Wrangler's equipment may include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a larger touch display screen, a navigation system, auto climate control, leather material, an Alpine sound system, several assistive driver's aids, and more.
