2021 Dodge Durango vs 2020 Dodge Durango
Serving Fairfax, VA
In 2021, the Dodge Durango gets styling updates and more impressive power. A new exterior with a more aggressive design distinguishes the 2021 Dodge Durango from its 2020 predecessor. The 2021 Durango comes with even more power options than before. Now you can order the Durango with a revered Hellcat engine that creates up to 710 HP with eight cylinders. The 2021 Durango has a new touchscreen display that replaces the display from 2020. More technology is added too, and several performance attributes have been adjusted on the Durango's engines to deliver more power and towing capacity.
Performance
While the Dodge Durango has always stood out for its impressive power, it has more power capacity in 2021 than ever before. The base engine is the same in 2021 as 2020, which is a 3.6L with six cylinders. Although it's the entry-level engine, the V6 creates plenty of power with 295 HP. The second engine, a 5.7L V8, has been modified in 2021 to give the Durango more towing power at 8,700 pounds. The SRT 392, offered in 2020, returns unchanged in 2021. In 2021, you can now get the SRT Hellcat, a 6.2L V8 that delivers 710 HP, 645 LB-FT in torque, and reaches 60 MPH in 3.5 seconds.
Appearance
The 2021 Durango has design modifications to match its new, more powerful self. The front grille and fascia are newly redesigned to be lower. The rear spoiler has been modified in 2021 1to give the Durango added stability on the road. LED lights are standard in 2021, and the Durango still has its signature racetrack-inspired LED lights in the rear. You can get impressive wheels up to 20 inches in 2021. Roof rails and unique exterior accents like Mopar dual racing stripes are available on select trims for style and function.
Features
In 2021, the Durango gets more luxury and technology than the 2020 edition. This year, a highlight of the Durango is a new Uconnect 5 system and a new touchscreen display. The updated technology offers a dual-device connection to Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Plush leather seats are offered on the higher-end trims in a variety of colors. You also have a choice of captain's chairs for a seven-seat configuration on certain trim levels. Heated seats and a nine-speaker sound system are available on some higher-end trims.
