In 2022, the Wagoneer SUV lineup returned with two fresh options, the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer. While the nameplates may be familiar, these spacious SUVs display modern styling, powerful engineering, and the latest features. Nonetheless, they stand apart as unique models with individualized appeal. What can you anticipate from the 2022 Wagoneer and the 2022 Grand Wagoneer?

Performance

With its solid performance, the three-row Wagoneer can move up to eight passengers confidently. Its three trims are outfitted with a 392-horsepower, 5.7-liter, V8 gas engine. This engine has mild-hybrid eTorque tech along with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options are available. The 2022 Grand Wagoneer is also a three-row model, and it is available with two engine options. These are a 471-horsepower, 6.4-liter, V8 and a 510-horsepower, turbo I-6. All trims have an eight-speed auto transmission and low-range gearing with four-wheel drive.

Appearance

The 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer share several design traits. For example, they both have a long, slender grille featuring a rectangular design, squared-off LED headlights, boxy wheel wells, and a cubical body shape. The Wagoneer stands apart as a slightly smaller model with a unique, chrome-outlined front bumper and a row of LED foglights. The Grand Wagoneer has a longer, thinner bumper with three bulbs in the foglights. Both models have a power liftgate, raised roof rails, skid plates, and other premium features.

Features

These impressive SUVs have several shared traits as well as individual features in their cabins. Their shared features include a multi-zone climate control system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, leather seating, reclining and power-adjusting seats in the second and third rows, driver’s side memory functions, a sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors, a wireless hotspot, a household power outlet, numerous driver-assist technologies, a rear entertainment system with Amazon Fire TV, a wireless charging pad and a head-up display. The Wagoneer has a digital driver’s panel, a central infotainment system screen, and a 10.25-inch display screen for the front passenger’s entertainment technologies. The Grand Wagoneer has massaging front seats, a console cooling box, a more advanced sound system, and more screen space on the dashboard.
